Apps are currently OPEN. The game will be opening on March 1. Apps will remain open until the mods deem it necessary to begin a week-long monthly apping period.
Before submitting an application please check the Reserves page and the Taken Characters page to make sure that the character you wish to apply for hasn't already been spoken for. Also check to make sure your character isn't on the high-profile or unappable characters lists.
You do not need to reserve your character before submitting an app though it will help you in the event of a challenge app.
Challenge applications are allowed. A challenge app happens when two players apply for the same character at the same time and the mods accept the app that they feel is more well-written. Apps from players who reserved will always take precedence in the event that both apps are equal in quality. If neither player reserved the character it will be a first-come first-serve basis.
Please pay special attention to your grammar and spelling when writing your app. An app may be pending or rejected due to bad grammar/typos since this will be important in the game and your application is the mods’ way of getting to know your writing style. Please make a good first impression!
You may post links to your apps or they can be copied and pasted in full into a reply below.
In no way, shape, or form may you copy, steal, or plagiarize your application. It must be written by you. There are certain sections in the applications where you may be allowed to use links or text from other sources, but that is the only exception. Breaking this rule may result in you being permanently banned from Forced.
If your application is pending or gets rejected, it doesn't automatically mean you’re a bad player. It could be for any number of reasons and the mods will give a reason to help you improve. However, we reserve the right to reject anyone’s application without evident reasoning.
Rejected applicants may apply for that character twice more unless told otherwise by the mods. If your app is rejected for a third time you may no longer apply as that character.
If the mods tell you your app is pending we will always give a reason and tell you what we would like to see revised. To get your app approved, you have 72 hours to make these changes to the mods’ satisfaction.
You may apply for a particular character only once per month. If your app gets rejected you must wait a month from the date of the rejection notice.
Only two apps per person are allowed per month.
There are three applications to choose from. Read the following carefully so you know which one to use.

Normal application - For native Star Wars characters NOT on the high-profile or non-appable lists, non-native Star Wars characters, and all panfandom characters.

History: (You may post a link here to a webpage that gives sufficient history on your character or, if no appropriate web source can be found, you must write a history for your character. Make sure to include any history that might have greatly influenced who your character is today.)

Personality: (Be very thorough about how your character thinks, behaves, how others view them, and how they may interact with the world around them. This is how we know you’ll be roleplaying in-character. At least four good-sized paragraphs.)

Powers and Abilities: (Explain your character's super-human powers and abilities here. Be very thorough so that we know what your character might be capable of in the Star Wars universe. Please note that if your character possesses powers that would allow them to escape this dimension and go home those powers will be nerfed.

Alternatively, if your character has canon powers you may choose to turn those powers into Force sensitivity instead. More information on this can be found in the powers section in the Guide.

Original character application - For player-created OCs from an original canon. Original character applications will require more information from you so that we may better understand your character’s background and whether or not they’d be a good fit in the game.

World History: (A detailed description of the world that your character comes from. This must be an original world that you have created. Talk about the society your character lives in, the economic situation, recent history, the species of this world, and anything else you think might be important. At least three good-sized paragraphs.)

Character History: (Describe where your character came from, their childhood, their family, the most memorable and influential moments in their life, and how they came to be the person they are today. At least four good-sized paragraphs.)

Personality: (Be very thorough about how your character thinks, behaves, how others view them, and how they may interact with the world around them. Because this is an original character from your head it is very important that you cover every aspect so that we can get to know them too. At least five good-sized paragraphs.)

High-profile character application - For high-profile native characters. These applications will receive much more scrutiny from us and have a higher chance of being rejected as we must be very picky due to the nature of the characters in relation to the game’s plot. Please see Forced: The Guide for more information on high-profile characters.

Personality: (Be very thorough about how your character thinks, behaves, how others view them, and how they may interact with the world around them. This is how we know you'll be roleplaying in-character. At least five good-sized paragraphs.)

Powers and Abilities: (Obviously the only characters who will need this portion to be filled out are Force-users and anyone else who has any race-specific abilities and the like, such as psychic tendencies or greater-than-average strength. Anything that might give them an advantage over others. If your character is a Force-user, specify their areas of study, their level of learning, their weaknesses, and their strengths.)

Possessions: (What possessions does your character already have at this point in canon? These will be things that your character is seen having or known to have in Star Wars at the point in time the game is currently at, or things that you're assuming they possess. For example, Han Solo has a blaster pistol and a ship.)

Action: (Write an example of a piece of an action thread your character might participate in while in the Star Wars universe. It should be something akin to what your character will be doing in this game. Lots of movement and/or descriptive text of actions or emotions is preferred. What's the password?: (Go back and read Forced: The Guide if you're not sure. You MUST know the password to get accepted. Most of your application looks great but we would like to see an expansion in the personality section. You've covered Darth Marr's inner qualities nicely but we'd like to see a take on his outer qualities. Basically, how others perceive him and how he presents himself, versus just what goes on inside his head. I'd like to be able to envision him talking, interacting, even moving around, by your description alone.

This doesn't need to be a huge revision. A handful of sentences or another good-sized paragraph should do just fine.

Outwardly, Darth Marr is very strong and solid presence without being directly aggressive. His armor and mask are designed to make people viewing it think of Sithspawn, and the blades that rise up from his armor are decorative but give him an intimidating and distinct silhouette on the Dark Council. Even in the dimmest of light his posture and silhouette are impossible to mistake for anyone else.

He presents a calm and collected voice and demeanor when interacting with others. Marr doesn't ask for or demand obedience, he gives orders with an air of command that doesn't allow for anything less than the best his subordinates have to offer. Marr is the apex predator in a jungle of bloodthirsty warrior, relaxed but ready to strike, confident in his position.

Such minds... such fertile ground for terror.

NOTE: The powers that Raptus is capable of on his own don't require nerfing but if we were to get more Dread Masters in the game we'll have to revisit this and decide just how much they'll be capable of. They're awfully powerful together and they might just be too much for the game. Still, getting enough of them to harness those powers is unlikely so for now we'll just keep it in mind and cross that bridge when we get there.
